Today, the Ontario Medical Association put out a member alert regarding COVID-19.
Nonessential medical services are to be paused for now.
If you are an active IVF patient, please know that all doctors will want to see you through to the end of your stimulation to the best of their ability.
How We Are Responding
These are the services we intend to offer at our clinic this week:
Diagnostic Services (new patients and clinics)
These are now all run by phone and Zoom.
If you need an appointment, contact your clinical team. If you don’t yet have a clinician with us please email referrals@hannamfertility.com or me, tom.hannam@hannamfertility.com.
Pregnancy
Our priority above all is to keep you safe, and part of being safe these days is social distancing. For most patients, we will be most comfortable if your care is largely, or entirely, run remotely with effective email and telephone contact with your clinical teams
Active IVF Stimulations
Once a stimulation has started we intend to continue your care unless you become unwell, in which case we will close the cycle down as rapidly as possible.
Planned IVF Stimulations
It is important to us that patients have access to egg and embryo freezing. We anticipate that COVID-19 will be in the community for months.
We think it is important to help patients when they need help, when they are healthy. Please stay in close contact with your clinical team so that we can commit to dates with you.
