Natural Conception Program

We are proud to have Canada’s largest Natural Conception Program (NCP) which is run by fertility-focused family doctors and nurses who provide lower-intervention treatments including medication, intra-uterine insemination (IUI), and timed intercourse. We provide onsite testing, treatment and cycle monitoring and also work with community-based testing partners in our network for localized services.

The NCP helps patients understand their fertility and provides evidence-based treatment plans proven to shorten the time to pregnancy.

IVF with CCRM Lab

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is one of the most effective fertility treatments available today and, for many patients, the fastest path to a healthy pregnancy.

IVF involves using carefully prescribed hormonal medications to stimulate the ovaries to develop multiple eggs. These eggs are then retrieved and fertilized with sperm in a controlled laboratory setting. The resulting embryos are closely monitored as they develop. A healthy embryo can be transferred into the uterus to support implantation and pregnancy, or embryos may be genetically tested and/or frozen for future use.

At Hannam Fertility Centre, IVF care is guided by experienced fertility specialists and supported by our onsite, state-of-the-art CCRM fertility laboratory—the only CAP-accredited fertility lab in Canada. This means every step, from egg retrieval to fertilization, freezing, thawing, and embryo transfer, follows the highest international standards for safety, quality, and precision.

IVF at HFC is personalized to your goals and circumstances. We provide inclusive care for single patients, couples, 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, and those using donor sperm or fertility preservation as part of their family-building journey.

Our team is here to guide you through each step with clarity, expertise, and compassion—focused on giving you the highest possible chance of success.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It takes 4-6 weeks from when you first start medication until your egg retrieval.

Following retrieval, the eggs are fertilized and embryo growth is monitored. Mature embryos typically undergo PGT-A testing. Altogether, this adds up to 2 weeks post-retrieval.

An embryo transfer can be done as soon as your first cycle following retrieval.

  • At Hannam Fertility Centre, our IVF outcomes are aligned with the high standards of the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM) network. As CCRM’s Canadian partner, our lab, protocols, and reporting follow the same rigorous processes used across CCRM clinics, with results comparable to those reported to the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).

Because success rates vary by age, diagnosis, and treatment plan, we encourage patients to review the CCRM fertility success rate page and speak with our team about what these results mean for their individual situation.

  • IVF is not directly covered by Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). However, eligible patients may receive one funded IVF cycle through the Ontario Fertility Program (OFP).

The funded cycle typically covers the IVF treatment and basic laboratory services. Medications, genetic testing, and some additional services may involve out-of-pocket costs.

See eligibility criteria on our Fertility Funding page for more details.

  • No, IVF doesn’t lower your egg count or ovarian reserve.

Each month, you have a cohort of eggs, of which one matures and is released.

Doing IVF makes use of more of the eggs that would have gone unused in a natural cycle. The mature eggs are then fertilized and grown in the lab. When you're ready, one embryo is transferred to your uterus. Any remaining embryos are preserved for potential use in the future.

  • Egg retrieval procedures (which are part of egg freezing, embryo freezing, and IVF) are performed by highly skilled clinicians. You will receive conscious sedation, and we take your comfort seriously.

Our multidisciplinary team is well-trained to support you before, during, and after the procedure.

  • CAP stands for the College of American Pathologists — the gold standard in laboratory quality and safety worldwide.
Being CAP-accredited means our fertility lab has passed rigorous inspections and meets strict standards for accuracy, safety, and consistency in every step of our testing and embryo care.

    CAP-accreditation means:

    • Safer care at every step with strict checks for identification, labelling, handling, and storage.

    • High standards across the lab, from eggs and sperm to embryos, freezing, storage, and genetic testing.

    • Regular, peer-reviewed quality checks by independent, practicing embryologists sharing best practices.

    • Continuous staff training and competency reviews to keep skills current and consistent.

    In simple terms…

CAP-accreditation means you’re in expert hands — where every detail, from testing to embryo care, follows the world’s best laboratory practices.

It means you can have peace of mind that your care is built on trust and precision.

  • No — it’s voluntary.

Hannam Fertility chooses to be CAP-accredited because we believe patients deserve the highest level of confidence in the care and science behind every fertility journey.

  • While no accreditation can guarantee an outcome, it ensures that everything within our control — lab quality, safety, and reliability — is held to the highest possible standard.
That means you can move forward knowing your care is backed by trusted, proven laboratory excellence.
