We provide more than just medical expertise: our team is dedicated to offering compassionate, patient-centered care. At HFC, you can explore a range of treatments to help you get pregnant, from low-intervention care to IVF.
Our physicians work with you to create an evidence-based treatment plan based on your medical history and family planning goals.
Our partners at A to Z Fertility, a team of Naturopathic Doctors, provide onsite wellness and acupuncture services.
Our Difference
In fertility care, the lab is a key factor that determines success. We’re the only clinic in Canada with a CCRM lab, which is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) — the highest standard in the industry.
Our multidisciplinary team of experts are proud to offer our patients exceptional results.
We serve a diverse range of individuals and couples, creating a welcoming space for all. Our commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone feels respected, supported, and valued throughout their time with us.
Natural Conception Program
Our Natural Conception Program (NCP) is run by fertility-focused family doctors and nurses who provide lower-intervention treatments including medication, intra-uterine insemination (IUI), and timed intercourse.
The NCP helps patients understand their fertility and provides evidence-based treatment plans proven to shorten the time to pregnancy.
IVF at Hannam Fertility Centre
In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a safe, highly effective path to parenthood. First, you’ll take hormonal medications to stimulate your ovaries for retrieval. Then, your eggs are retrieved, fertilized, and monitored in our lab. Later, a mature embryo is transferred to your uterus to continue developing.
Our CCRM lab is the only CAP-accredited fertility lab in Canada. Our clinical teams are highly trained in helping guide you through this process, and our lab team follows the most rigorous protocols to keep your eggs and embryos safe through retrieval, freezing, thaw, and implantation.
Additional Support: Wellness and Acupuncture
Our Naturopathic Team, A to Z fertility, work collaboratively with your care team to provide virtual and onsite wellness care, including acupuncture, lifestyle guidance, and supplement recommendations.
By working with our trusted team of naturopaths at HFC, your whole care team can stay connected and up to date on your treatment plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No, IVF doesn’t lower your egg count or ovarian reserve.
Each month, you have a cohort of eggs, of which one matures and is released.
Doing IVF makes use of more of the eggs that would have gone unused in a natural cycle. The mature eggs are then fertilized and grown in the lab. When you're ready, one embryo is transferred to your uterus. Any remaining embryos are preserved for potential use in the future.
-
Egg retrieval procedures (which are part of egg freezing, embryo freezing, and IVF) are performed by highly skilled clinicians. You will receive conscious sedation, and we take your comfort seriously.
Our multidisciplinary team is well-trained to support you before, during, and after the procedure.
-
It takes 4-6 weeks from when you first start medication until your egg retrieval.
Following retrieval, the eggs are fertilized and embryo growth is monitored. Mature embryos typically undergo PGT-A testing. Altogether, this adds up to 2 weeks post-retrieval.
An embryo transfer can be done as soon as your first cycle following retrieval.
