Our Approach

Hannam Fertility Centre provides more than just medical expertise: our team is dedicated to offering compassionate, patient-centered care. At HFC, you can explore a range of treatments to help you get pregnant, from low-intervention care through our Natural Conception Program to IVF with our CCRM Lab.

Our physicians work with you to create an evidence-based treatment plan based on your medical history and family planning goals.

Our partners at A to Z Fertility, a team of Naturopathic Doctors, provide onsite wellness and acupuncture services.

Our Difference

In fertility care, the lab is a key factor that determines success. We’re the only clinic in Canada with a CCRM lab, which is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) — the highest standard in the industry.

Our multidisciplinary team of experts are proud to offer our patients exceptional results.

We serve a diverse range of individuals and couples, creating a welcoming space for all. Our commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone feels respected, supported, and valued throughout their time with us.

Natural Conception Program

We are proud to have Canada’s largest Natural Conception Program (NCP) which is run by fertility-focused family doctors and nurses who provide lower-intervention treatments including medication, intra-uterine insemination (IUI), and timed intercourse. We provide onsite testing, treatment and cycle monitoring and also work with community-based testing partners in our network for localized services.

The NCP helps patients understand their fertility and provides evidence-based treatment plans proven to shorten the time to pregnancy.

In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a safe, highly effective path to parenthood. First, you’ll take hormonal medications to stimulate your ovaries for retrieval. Then, your eggs are retrieved, fertilized, and monitored in our lab. Later, a mature embryo is transferred to your uterus to continue developing.

Our CCRM lab is the only CAP-accredited fertility lab in Canada. Our clinical teams are highly trained in helping guide you through this process, and our lab team follows the most rigorous protocols to keep your eggs and embryos safe through retrieval, freezing, thaw, and implantation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It takes 4-6 weeks from when you first start medication until your egg retrieval.

Following retrieval, the eggs are fertilized and embryo growth is monitored. Mature embryos typically undergo PGT-A testing. Altogether, this adds up to 2 weeks post-retrieval.

An embryo transfer can be done as soon as your first cycle following retrieval.

  • No, IVF doesn’t lower your egg count or ovarian reserve.

Each month, you have a cohort of eggs, of which one matures and is released.

Doing IVF makes use of more of the eggs that would have gone unused in a natural cycle. The mature eggs are then fertilized and grown in the lab. When you're ready, one embryo is transferred to your uterus. Any remaining embryos are preserved for potential use in the future.

  • Egg retrieval procedures (which are part of egg freezing, embryo freezing, and IVF) are performed by highly skilled clinicians. You will receive conscious sedation, and we take your comfort seriously.

Our multidisciplinary team is well-trained to support you before, during, and after the procedure.

  • CAP stands for the College of American Pathologists — the gold standard in laboratory quality and safety worldwide.
Being CAP-accredited means our fertility lab has passed rigorous inspections and meets strict standards for accuracy, safety, and consistency in every step of our testing and embryo care.

    To earn accreditation, labs must:

    • Undergo regular on-site inspections by expert lab professionals.

    • Participate in external quality testing to prove our results are accurate.

    • Follow detailed procedures for equipment, staff training, and sample handling.

    • Continuously review and improve performance to stay at the highest level of quality.

  • Because it means you can have peace of mind that your care is built on trust and precision.
    CAP accreditation helps ensure that:

    • Your embryos and samples are handled using the safest, most reliable protocols.

    • Test results are accurate and consistent, reducing the risk of error.

    • Our lab operates to the same quality standards used by top hospitals and IVF programs worldwide.

    In simple terms…

CAP-accreditation means you’re in expert hands — where every detail, from testing to embryo care, follows the world’s best laboratory practices.

  • No — it’s voluntary.

Hannam Fertility chooses to be CAP-accredited because we believe patients deserve the highest level of confidence in the care and science behind every fertility journey.

  • While no accreditation can guarantee an outcome, it ensures that everything within our control — lab quality, safety, and reliability — is held to the highest possible standard.
That means you can move forward knowing your care is backed by trusted, proven laboratory excellence.
